Force drivers to take circutious routes and slow down. Explicitly center pedestrians, cyclists, and public transit and making driving a worse experience. Minimize interaction between modes when possible. 0 replies
Sheila G Feb 4 2024 at 2:17PM on page 4 Comment The streets near the Hopkins Homewood campus (Charles, St. Paul, University Parkway, and Greenway) are frequented by pedestrians who are dodging drivers far exceeding the 25 MPH speed limit. An especially dangerous intersection is that where Charles, University Parkway, St. Paul and Greenway come together. I have witnessed many near misses here as members of the Hopkins community walk to the first shuttle stop on University Parkway. 0 replies
Sheila G Feb 4 2024 at 2:12PM on page 4 Comment The bike lanes must be installed where people actually ride bikes. The one installed on 28th has created a more dangerous environment than before it was put in place. Cars traveling northbound on 83 exiting at 28th are forced into one lane creating long backups and road rage. I do not remember any type of survey being publicized explaining why certain areas where chosen for bike lanes. 0 replies
